OVERVIEW
Aéropostale is a specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally serving young women and men through its Aéropostale and Aéropostale Factory stores. Aéropostale provides customers with a focused selection of high-quality fashion and fashion basics at compelling values in an innovative and exciting store environment. Aéropostale maintains control over its proprietary brands by designing, sourcing, marketing and selling all of its own merchandise.
CHALLENGES
Designing typefaces and graphics for the women's department. It is incredibly important to stay true to the brand and create typefaces that not only represent the look and feel of Aéropostale, but to also capture what the consumers are looking for in the products as well.
EXECUTION
Free-hand drawing, painting and inking were all used to achieve the look that best represents the brand. After which it was scanned in and digitized so the team would have access to it for any and all projects they felt was applicable. The graphic tee designs are based solely on the branding of Aéropostale to match a very specific look and feel across all their clothing lines and it carries through in these designs.
